Setting Up Netscape Messenger 4.x

1. In Netscape, click on the Edit menu and go to Preferences.
   

2. Under the Mail & Newsgroups category, click on Identity.
   

   • Enter your name in in the Your Name field.
   • Enter your Internet Navigator e-mail address in the Email Address field.

3. Click on Mail Servers in the category list.
   

   1. Click on the Add button next to the Incoming Mail Servers box.
      
      • Enter the incoming server name in the Server Name field.
      • Set the Server Type to POP3
      • Enter your username (the same as your e-mail address) in the User Name field.
      • Place a check mark next to Remember password.
      • Click OK to save the changes.
   2. In the Outgoing Mail Server area:
      
      • Enter the outgoing server name in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field.
      • Enter your username (the same as your e-mail address) in the Outgoing Mail Server User Name field.
      • Set SSL to Never
4. Click on the OK button to save the changes.
